Historian

Before joining SIDME in February 2023, she obtained a Ph.D. in Medieval History at the Università di Milano (2012) and the Diploma of the Scuola di Archivistica, Paleografia e Diplomatica at the State Archive of Venice (2013). She was then a post-doctoral fellow at the Università di Verona (2016-2019). Since 2021 she has also been teaching Medieval History at the Università ecampus. Her previous research has focused on women’s religious communities, female monasticism, urban recluses, leprosy, and the social construction of madness within insane asylums. Her main research interest is the social and religious life of people with disabilities in the late Middle Ages.
